The Training visa allows you you to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve your skills for your job, area of tertiary study, field of expertise or in a professional development training program in Australia
With the Training Visa (Subclass 407), applicants can:
◉ Stay of up to 2 years in Australia
◉ Family members can be included in the application
◉ Engage in professional development training programs
◉ Travel in and out of Australia as many time as you wish during the visa validity period
◉ Visit Australia to complete workplace-based training to improve skills for current occupations, areas of tertiary study, or fields of expertise
To be eligible for the Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590), applicants must meet certain requirements:
◉ You must be 18 years old or older at the time of visa application.
◉ Your sponsor must be approved as a temporary activities sponsor.
◉ Demonstrate genuine temporary entry intentions
◉ Have paid back any debt to the Australian Government
◉ Not have had a visa cancelled or an application refused
◉ If you are applying in Australia, you must currently hold a valid temporary substantive visa
◉ Meet health and character requirements, including signing the Australian values statement.
◉ Your sponsor must have nominated you to participate in a program of occupational training unless your sponsor is a Australian Commonwealth Government agency.
The visa cannot be extended. Applicants seeking a longer stay must explore other visa options available to them.
You are likely to have some money in a superannuation fund if you worked in Australia and you are:
◉ 18 years old or older
◉ Paid AUD450 or more before tax in a month
Visa holders are required to promptly notify authorities of any changes to their contact details, relationship status, welfare arrangements, or the birth of a child. Changes in study situations must also be reported without delay.
